Earthquakes and Volcanoes
Code: M-06 – Earthquakes and Volcanoes– July 13-17 9:30 am-12:30 pm
Ages: 6-10 years old (activities will reflect age of students and will be grouped according to their level with instructors and aides) (25 maximum number of students)
Discover how Earth moves and changes through crafts, interactive play and building models. Students will learn about different types of volcanoes, examine volcanic rocks and create their own volcano to take home. Students will also explore the different layers of the Earth, discover the power of earthquakes and take a field trip to the Fremont Earthquake exhibit to “visit” the Hayward fault. They will explore 3D earth using the museum’s new Debbie Dome.
