Junior Geologist
Code M-04 Junior Geologist – July 29-July 3, 9:30 am-12:30 pm
Ages: 6-10 years old (activities will reflect age of students and will be grouped according to their level with instructors and aides) (25 maximum number of students)
Learn about minerals and rocks through the eyes of a geologist. Students will examine and discover the unique properties of gems and minerals, learn what common elements and minerals are used for, and take a tumble through the rock cycle. Fossils will be explored under Sedimentary Rocks. The students will become Junior Geologists after they go rock “hunting” in the museum and make a beginning rock kit.
