Ice Age fossils of the Bay Area and Beyond

Code Museum 05 – Ice Age Bay – July 29th-August 2nd, 10am-2pm
Ages:  6-11 years old (activities will reflect age of students and will be grouped according to their level with instructors and aides) (30 maximum number of students)

Mammoths, mastodons, camelids, horses and sloths, oh my! Students will take a step backwards into the Bay Area’s “recent” history. Through interactive play, crafts and museum exploration students will discover the extinct giants that called the Bay Area home and create maps to navigate Bay Area’s Ice-Age geography. Students will be able to see and touch real fossils of ice-age animals found in Fremont and create a collection of fossil tooth models, just like grown-up paleontologists!
